Ramesh Chandra Jha in "Bihar Through The Ages"

दिल्ली के साहित्य अकादमी की लाइब्रेरी में एक किताब पढ़ी थी - "Bihar Through The Ages" S. R. Bakshi और Ritu Chaturvedi जी द्वारा सम्पादित. उसकी कुछ पंक्तियाँ यहाँ प्रस्तुत कर रहा हूँ. मेरे नाना जी (रमेश चन्द्र झा) का ज़िक्र करते हुए वे लिखते हैं,

" Many of freedom fighters were arrested. Eevn then Gokul Thakur, Raghunath Mishra (Sugaon), Ramesh Chandra Jha, Kamalkan Gupta, Ramakant Jha and other tried to keep the moment alive successfully during the days of fearful happenings of August Movement.

August Revolution took the shape of general public movement. The sugauli police station filed the several cases. In those cases one hundred eighty-two persons were declared to be accused. Ramesh Chandra Jha then student of Hazarimal High School, Raxaul, was entrapped into several cases of the robbery at police stations. At Phulwaria village in great hardship. Gokul Thakur ordered Ramesh Chandra and Rama Kant Jha to go to Sugaon and to take account of the articles were removed and also the condition of imposed collective fines. Since both these persons view of prematured age, there was very much possibility of their being arrested. If so happened that both of them were arrested and imprisoned for two years under the Section 38(v) of the Indian safety act...."
